The geotechnical survey vessel EK HAYATE, owned by EK Geotechnical Survey LLC, entered into service under Japanese flag, capable of providing offshore drilling, sampling and in-situ testing.
By coupling the Japanese vessel operational expertise of “K” Line Group and the international offshore geo-survey expertise of EGS, EK Geotechnical Survey LLC and EK HAYATE provides offshore survey services to meet growing demand in Japan and regional sustained energy markets.

Drill rig/Maritime laboratory

The EGS drilling rig is able to perform in the weather and ocean condition typical of around Asia-Pacific. The twin-tower rig has a 4 meters motion compensation system to stabilize offshore drilling operations.
An onboard laboratory facility equipped to carry out sample management, logging and laboratory testing under controlled conditions, minimizing sample disturbance caused by transportation and accelerating data delivery program.

Happo-Noshirio cable route survey

EKGS has completed its first survey project for the Happo Town and Noshiro City Offshore Wind Power Project in Akita Prefecture. The survey was supported by group entities from both parties and the final geo-data deliverables were provided to client, OYO Corporation, on program.
